Cognitive Dissonance: the Painful Reality

Cognitive dissonance is a real thing.

The deal is, a person can only absorb what fits within their belief system at any given time. Imagine the belief system is like a box of a certain size. If you try to put something bigger than can fit into that box into a person's mind, they simply can't contain it. It doesn’t fit. Because it doesn’t fit, it doesn’t make sense, and they cannot process it. Therefore, they have to reject it as ‘false’.

At the beginning in 2020, I was speaking to a beloved friend, trying to convince her not to take the experimental injections. Of course she wanted to know why I was so adamant. As I furiously blathered on about agenda 2030, spiritual and biological warfare, and the ill intentions behind these injections, she had interrupted, “Excuse me, I just can't believe what you are saying. I believe that people who do philanthropy are good people, and they want to help us. I do not want to live in a world where the people who are supposed to be helping are intentionally out to harm us. If that is true then I don't want to know.” And this abruptly ended our conversation.

That friend went on to get several injections and have serious health consequences. Her husband developed heart issues. Several other family members became ill. Two of her close friends developed fast-growing cancers out of nowhere and died. To me, all of this was quite obviously linked to the injections, yet my friend was still so locked into her own little box of ‘I cannot live in a world where people who are supposed to be helping have ill intentions’ that she was unable to see - is still unable to see - that the injections were indeed harmful. The truth simply doesn’t fit into her limited belief box.

Here's the thing: I do not judge her for this. There's no way to push or make somebody awaken to a higher level of truth until they are receptive to it. Period. Awakening cannot be forced.

If you have people in your life who are still buying into the fear-based propaganda, trusting ‘authority’, or believing whatever they hear on mainstream media, have compassion.
Not only does everybody awaken in their own timing and readiness, people also awaken to different areas of truth in different timing.

For instance, I have another friend whose intuition told him not to take the experimental injection, yet he gets freaked out if I mention chemtrails or geoengineering of weather. A few times I've tried to have that conversation with him, he has expressed that he doesn't want to talk about it. Now, because we're close friends, I've been able to ask him specifically what is it that he doesn't want to hear. He admitted that the whole topic feels scary to him. The idea that somebody might be purposely poisoning our air feels like such a threat on a visceral level to his animal body that he feels a little bit panicky whenever I bring it up, and so he would rather not talk about it (side note: he did say he would be interested if I were to make an educational video starting from the very beginning as if he were a kindergartner, taking him all the way through so that he could process understanding what I had to share in a way that his mind could follow. This was very inspirational to me because not everybody is even open to learning something outside the scope of their belief box). The point is is that people can be awake in one area and not in others. And this is Ok and normal.

I remember my own awakening journey. During my near death experience, I had been shown that politics was a scripted play, an ongoing bit of theater if you will, and that Democrat and Republican were simply two wings of the same bird. And so I’ve considered myself apolitical and have chosen not to participate in that farce. A good decade later, I recall having a conversation with my brother David, wherein he said something about politics. I had a knee-jerk reaction to defend the Democrats, saying something like, “The Democrats would never do something so underhanded!”

David burst out laughing, and I felt momentarily offended, “Why are you laughing?” I queried a little defensively.

“Because you are engaging with me as if the left-wing talking points are real. You know better than that.”

I pondered this for a moment and then said somewhat sheepishly, “Well, I know it's all nonsense, but for some reason, I think if I were to be political, I would definitely be on the side of the Democrats because they're all about helping people.”

David barked out another laugh and said, “Helping who, exactly?”

“Um, the homeless,” I said, with an unspoken ‘duh’ attached, like a middle schooler regurgitating something I’d heard a thousand times.

“Oh come on,” he replied, “You've lived in Los Angeles – a Democrat stronghold - for well over a decade. Are you really gonna sit here and tell me that you've noticed any improvements in the homeless situation?”

I thought about this for about five seconds and then said, “No, actually, it's gotten a lot worse since I first moved here.”

“Exactly.” he responded. “The whole thing is a money making scam. They rake in millions of dollars a year to supposedly ‘help’ the homeless, but none of that money goes to helping the homeless. It's a racket. If they were to actually help the homeless, they'd all be out of a job. So their deal is to keep drafting new policies, keep creating different problems, keep moving things around, just enough to make it look like they're helping, while they are actually growing the problem bigger to keep raking in more money year after year after year. Do you realize how much money politicians and administrators make? So no, they don't care about the people. They just have a bunch of talking points that make people think that they care about them. They don't care about Black people, poor people, homeless people, or anyone else they profess to care about. They don't care about getting people better healthcare - none of it. All they want to do is to continue to line their pockets. It's a game to them: how much money can they bilk out of the budget every year? Same thing with Republicans. They claim to be about smaller government, more freedom, supporting the constitutional republic. But it's just lip service. They are just as invested in lining their pockets as the Democrats. And anybody who can't see that it's all a script to keep us fighting and divided is just getting sucked into the weekly narrative.”

I felt a little bit stupid and humbled after that conversation and really had to look at myself deeply about why I’d thought the Democrats were somehow ‘better’ in any way. How had I let myself be brainwashed? I realized that my programming - my ‘politics’ box, if you will - had been unconsciously formed during my childhood. My mother was a staunch Democrat and held regular fundraisers at her restaurant during election seasons. Even though I’d never been interested in politics, I was absorbing a lot of the talking points through osmosis.

There were a few beliefs that were under my conscious radar that said something like, ‘Democrats care about people while Republicans don't’, ‘Republicans are racists’, and ‘the liberal side is the more enlightened perspective’. It took that conversation with my brother for me to see that I was holding limiting beliefs around politics that didn't serve me to hold. Beliefs that kept me divided from conservatives, and that stood in the way of me having access to higher levels of truth. I cleared those beliefs right then, and, almost immediately, I was able to see a much bigger picture.

The higher truth is that we are in the midst of a spiritual battle and that all politics is a show. It's a show scripted by the shadow government, put on by actors playing the roles of politicians, judges, government officials, and the media in order to keep people locked in a certain narrative. Each side of the two-winged bird has its own set of beliefs and biases. Each side has its own judgments towards the other side. And every week a new story breaks with two opposing sides of the same story. Two different narratives, both enflaming, designed specifically to pit people on either side against each other. Every story is emotionally charged. The various news outlets will slant the story in either direction to garner as much outrage as humanly possible. This is by design. The system is working exactly as it is intended to work. To create as much negative emotional energy as possible to feed the fear-machine while keeping everyone distracted from what’s really going on.
That conversation I had with my brother about politics took place about 25 years ago. At the time, I had hilariously thought I was fully awake. Parts of me were awake, but other parts still slumbered. Thankfully, I was able to run compassion for myself and acknowledge that I still had blind spots. Then I let go of judging myself as naïve, stupid, unconscious, and unaware.

Maybe you have been awake since you were born. But chances are good that you’ve awakened in various areas of your life at different points and time. If you can have compassion for yourself for having been asleep in the past in some area, can you have compassion for others who are not yet awake to the truth in all areas?

There’s that quote attributed to Mark Twain, “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled.” This speaks to the defendedness of the human personality; it’s super challenging for most people to admit that they could be wrong, misled, make a mistake, or lack discernment in any way.

Those who are able to look at themselves deeply without shrinking have a courage and inner strength that is commendable. These character traits come about over time through gaining maturity and experiential wisdom. Can we hold in our own maturity while allowing for others who have yet to mature?

We are all in this together. What's happening here and now on planet Earth is a collective awakening. The more people that can awaken, the easier it's going to be for humanity to move through this portal.

So be gentle with friends and family who have smaller boxes of belief, who are unable to hold or unable to process what is currently unfolding. Trust that they will wake up in their own divine timing. Or not. They might die while still unconscious to higher truth. And that's Ok. They have free will and their process is their own. The more surrendered you can be towards any particular outcome, the more peace you will have as events continue to unfold.

What I know to be true in my heart of hearts is that judging or condemning people for where they are in consciousness is not helpful energetically towards their opening. Just like flowers open in the warmth of sunlight, people open their minds best in an environment of love, acceptance, and compassion. The more compassion and acceptance we can hold for others, the more likely it is that they will feel safe enough at some point to look at their own belief box.

And, be gentle with yourself if you still find yourself wanting to scream at people. It takes time to integrate this concept of giving others the dignity of their own process, including their own timing and readiness. This reminder is for me, too, for every time I want to shake someone and yell, “Wake the f*ck up!!” Hahaha

Light ahead to the awakening of humanity.
